Greetings to all viewing this article and to you, users of Infinix Hot 3 x554 who has been searching for an upgrade to your hot 3 but non came up via ota. Here is Umi custom rom for your Infinix hot 3 to atleast enjoy some cool features not found on your device stock firmware.

* Fast bootup time (except the first time, the first time is very slow, cause the ROM is de-odexed.)

Cons:

* The default launcher lags a lot, install XOS launcher, Nova launcher or any other launcher, it'll fix your problems. The default MIUI launcher is not that compatible with big screens with MT6580, dunno why, that's why it lags. Might be because of so much 3D software rendering on the launcher.

* Magnetometer not working. As usual... Magnetometer isn't working. I've been fighting over this problem for a week now, tried almost everything, from porting over libraries to even trying to change the kernel, nothing works. It's a problem with Infinix HOT 3, I guess.

How To flash ROM:

As usual, your phone must be rooted and twrp custom recovery installed.

1) Download Umi custom rom for infinix hot 3 to root of your sd card
2) Power off your phone and boot into Recovery mode. Press and hold Volume Up + Power button for some sec. to boot into twrp recovery mode.
3) Click on Wipe and tick wipe data, cache, dalvik, system

4) Click Install, find where you put the "Umi_Rome_X554-3_06.zip" file and install it.
5) Reboot. The first boot may take upto 10 minutes, give it some time. It'll work, hopefully.
